Professor da Universidade IULM, colunista do la Repubblica, ganhou os principais pr\u00eamios liter\u00e1rios italianos e \u00e9 traduzido em todo o mundo. Estreou em 2002 com <em>O barulho ma\u00e7ante da batalha<\/em> (Pr\u00eamios Kihlgren, Fregene e Chianciano). Publicou em 2005 <em>O sobrevivente <\/em>(Pr\u00eamio Campiello) e, nos anos seguintes, <em>Uma hist\u00f3ria rom\u00e2ntica <\/em>(Pr\u00eamio Super Mondello), <em>O menino que sonhava com o fim do mundo <\/em>(2009), <em>A segunda meia-noite <\/em>(2011), <em>O pai infiel <\/em>(2013), <em>A melhor \u00e9poca da nossa vida <\/em>(Pr\u00eamio Viareggio-R\u00e8paci e Pr\u00eamio Sele\u00e7\u00e3o Campiello). O ensaio <em>A literatura da inexperi\u00eancia <\/em>\u00e9 de 2006, seguido de outros estudos, entre eles a monografia <em>Guerra. O Grande Conto de Armas de Homero at\u00e9 os dias atuais<\/em>. Scurati \u00e9 co-diretor cient\u00edfico do Master in Storytelling Arts. Em 2018, \u00e9 publicado <em>M. O filho do s\u00e9culo<\/em>, sobre o fascismo e Benito Mussolini, vencedor do Pr\u00eamio Strega 2019. Em 2020, publica <em>M. O homem da provid\u00eancia<\/em> e, em 2022, <em>M.
